I have the honour to acknowledge the
C61 receipt of your despatch No.249 of 4th July, 1934,
forwarding a copy of a letter received from His
Majesty's Treasury on the subject of remittances to and from Hong Kong and to enclose a copy of a memorandum on this subject by the Colonial Treasurer. I concur in the view there expressed that it is inadvisable to make any change in the existing practice.

It is understood that the Treasury Chest Officer, Hong Kong, has addressed His Majesty's Treasury in the same sense.
